I have been incredibly humbled, moved and encouraged by the response to my debut poetry collection, “Propelled into Wonder” (PIW from here on). PIW was released a matter of months ago back in September 2024 and I have since been made aware of a couple of lovely reviews of my book in publications which I greatly admire:
I am indebted to Peter Lilly and to Sara Parsons for their generous reviews of PIW in Fare Forward and Radix Magazine respectively. If you would like to read these reviews, then you can do so via the buttons/links below:
It is fascinating to experience your own work through the eyes of another if not a little nerve–racking! I have found it both strange and beautiful1 to hear my words cross–examined and pored over in the words of others. I am grateful that both reviews pick up on things that were intentional and deliberate within the creative writing process and I am intrigued by those things which the reviews highlight whose origins were far less conscious, if conscious at all!
Ultimately, I am grateful to both Peter and Sara for helping me to “know” my own artistic endeavours more fully. I am left pondering whether our creations thrive in community too, just as we were created to thrive in relationship by our dynamic Creator God who himself is perfect community.
Thank you for reading Idle and Blessed! My poems and other content are free to read but I do offer a paid subscription option for anyone who would like to become a fully fledged patron/supporter of my work. Alternatively, there is the option of buying me a coffee in order to help me stay awake and keep on writing!
I am especially grateful to all of my readers and subscribers who spend some of their precious time here. Thanks again!
